James Optimistic Despite Alief FC Defeat

Houston, TX(AP) - James Oriabure was optimistic following Shooting Stars 3-1 defeat to Alief FC, even though it leaves them 4 points out of second place.

The make shift team played well for much of the game but succumbed to two late goals from a streaking Alief team, meaning they have not won since the first week in January.

The coach told the associated press that they are not dead and buried yet.

"I am unhappy and angry, but we can't give up.  As we have dropped points so have the teams in front of us.  I'm an optimist with regards towards the future and nobody should consider us dead yet," he mused.

"The team looks positive when we play and have shown that we can do things well, but now we have no room for error.  We have to be perfect for the last two games to have any chance of promotion.

Stars finish the season against 5th place Fury Black followed by 7th place International FC.
