In this week’s episode of famous interviews, we focus on one of the new comers to the team. Although, this is his first season with the team, he’s found his way into the starting 11 just 5 games into the season.

For those who don't know, what is your name and what do you do?
My name is Sulaimon Ajibode. I am currently doing different science research works and also pursuing a medical career
Tell us about your family.
I have two brothers and a sister. Most of my family members are still in Nigeria. My older brother is here in the United States working as a Business Analyst. My younger brother and sister are in Nigeria pursuing different career paths. My parents are in Nigeria doing politics (you know Nigerian politics is always crazy). I can’t wait to move back home and go get involved.
When growing up where did you think you would be at this time in your life?
I think I am where I thought I would be except for I forgot the idea of playing professional soccer. I had always wanted to become a medical doctor and also a professional soccer player but I figured out I had to be realistic and compromise one for the other. I played semi-professional soccer for a little bit and was on my way of combining both ambitions together, but injuries caused me to make the decision to just pull back on it. But I think I am very comfortable where I am right now.
Although this is your first year with the club, you’ve been given a starting role in the midfield. How much pressure does this put on you knowing the team is counting on you week in and week out?
It is some pressure but this is pressure that I am used to and always able to find a way to work it out. Every week I try my possible best to give the best I can and also get other people involved. It is always very good to play with people that connect with you on the soccer field thus making it easier for everyone. So far it is working well but it could always be better and I believe the more we play together the better it would be.
What do you think SSFC needs as a team?
SSFC is a team I see with a lot of potential and skillful players. One of the most important things that could take the team to another level is playing together. There are a lot of players with individual skills that understand the game of soccer but we just need to work together as a team and move together as a team. We need to instill the discipline that "togetherness means forwardness". The right pieces are there, just that we need to be able to put the pieces together. I believe that no matter how good individuals are in a team, if they don’t play together there won’t be any kind of major progress. A good example is the Real Madrid team two years ago which had all the skillful and talented players in the world but could not do anything with it.
Considering SSFC's recent performance, where do you think the team will finish at the end of the season?
I think we are still in a very good position to finish at the top of the table. We’ve had our ups and downs but I think the performance we had this past week shows that everyone is willing to commit to the team and give it all they have. If we continue to keep our composure and not repeat mistakes, then we should have no problem running the table till the end of the season.
If you could name one person who had an impact in your life, who would it be and why would you pick that person?
I can’t really name one but I can name two: My mom and dad. They are my role models and they have always instilled this idea in me that no one can stop you from achieving whatever you put your mind on. They have been very supportive all through my life and they still continue to do that. I thank them everyday for being very disciplined parents and I continue to appreciate it because that has kept me going and helped in making some important decisions in my life. You can’t get better parents than the ones I have. I see them work hard everyday for all they have now and they sure do deserve it.
What are the 5 most played songs in your mp3 player?

Who is your favorite soccer team and player?
My favorite soccer team is Arsenal and my favorite player is still Ronaldinho. yes!!
What would you like to be doing in ten years?
Working as a humanitarian Medical Doctor and also running my own Medical Research Institute in Nigeria. Also, definitely in Nigerian politics. Oh yeah!
Sanaa Lathan, Beyonce Knowles, Kim Kardashian?
With all that ****, I think I would go with Kim Kardashian

If you were President of Nigeria what would be your first measure to improve the country?
